Yamaha Saluto 125
Yamaha is a popular bike brand in India. Commuter, Sports Naked, Sports Bike, Tourer and Super Bike are its major bike offerings. Yamaha Saluto RX 125 is the latest to be launched by the company, along with Saluto RX (110). The bike is equipped with a Unified Braking System (UBS) or Combined Braking System (CBS), Yamaha calls it, in which the front and rear brakes of the vehicles are linked in such a way that force is applied equally to both. In comparison with the basic model of Salute RX, Saluto 125 is a much more powerful bike, with higher horsepower and torque.
Bajaj Dominar 400
The list of the latest bikes is incomplete without the Bajaj Dominar 400. Interestingly, this is one bike that saw a price increase four times in 2018 alone. Introduced by Bajaj Auto, Dominar 400 was launched in India in three exciting colours, Rock Matte Black, Canyon Red and Glacier Blue. Bajaj Auto’s flagship bike, Bajaj Dominor 400 is largely inspired by the design of the Ducati Diavel. The bike runs on a 373cc engine that delivers 35Nm and 34.5bhp. The best feature of the bike is its Gold Dust alloy wheels that give this two-wheeler a highly sophisticated look.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R
Expected to be launched in India in January 2019, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is highly anticipated by bike enthusiasts looking for something more than just a basic performance machine. This 600cc motorcycle is expected to be a popular choice amongst Indian youngsters. Since its launch in 1995, the Ninja has been constantly updated. Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha have been its major competition. However, Kawasaki managed to standout, no matter what.
Okinawa i-Praise
Light, safe, smooth, fun to ride and environment-friendly, electric scooters are gaining traction in the country at a significant pace. Okinawa scooters are an emerging name in this segment. In December 2018, the company started the pre-booking for its highly anticipated e-scooter, powered by a detachable lithium-ion battery. Long charging hours have been a major disadvantage, which has affected the desirability of e-scooters. However, Okinawa has taken care of this issue and claims that the i-Praise can be fully charged in just 2-3 hours.
