Increase Magnesium Intake

With the loss of blood, magnesium levels in your body goes down too. Hence, it’s necessary to eat foods that are rich in magnesium. You can get it through spinach, almonds, black beans, and peanut butter.

Do Massage

Massaging the body using essential oils have shown positive results in women. It can ease period cramps pain within a few hours of application. Some of the best known essential oil for period pain includes lavender and marjoram. Just ensure to check the quality before buying because some companies sell them in impure form.

Stay Hydrated

Dehydrated women can feel excruciating period cramps and pain. Thus, get 8 ounces of water every day and more if your body produces extra sweats. Moreover, you must note that some foods lead to water retention so try your level best to avoid them.

Soak in Hot Bath

If you don't have a heating pad at your home, soak your body in a hot bath tub. Doing this will relax the pelvic and abdominal muscles.
